Carissa graduated from Ursinus College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and from Villanova University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Most of her nursing career was in women’s health, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest Labor and Delivery, and then at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery Labor and Delivery.

In 2017, Carissa returned to Villanova for her master’s degree, becoming a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2021. She worked as a Family NP in Collegeville for the past 2 years, gaining experience working with her patients to manage both acute and chronic conditions.

She has a special passion for anti-obesity medicine and health promotion. She is thrilled to be working in women’s health again and joined the ENWHC team in March 2024.
